Welcome to my office, the flats of the beautiful Mosquito
Lagoon. I am often told I have the best office in the world.
I have to agree. Known as the Redfish Capital of the World,
the Mosquito Lagoon is a unique estuary that lies within the
boundaries of the Canaveral National Seashore on the east
coast of Florida. Its pristine grass flats and undeveloped
shorelines are prime habitat for many species of fish and
wildlife. Redfish and seatrout are abundant year round, while
other species, including flounder, Jack Crevalle, snook and
tarpon, are available seasonally.
I’ve been fishing these waters for over 25 years and
have been guiding on them since 1993. Over the years I have
become an excellent instructor, so I welcome all levels of
experience. You will be provided with the best tackle available,
including G. Loomis, St. Croix, Abu Garcia, and my own Captain
Mike’s Aqua Dream lures. Whether you prefer bait or
lures, spinning, casting, or fly, I can customize your trip
to meet your needs. You will fish aboard my 17-foot Beavertail
Skiff, a state-of-the-art flats boat designed specifically
for fishing the skinny waters where redfish abound.
Some of the biggest redfish and seatrout in the world swim
in the waters of the Mosquito Lagoon. Every trip offers the
chance at a trophy. So whether you’re trophy hunting
or just looking for a good time on the water, the Mosquito
Lagoon is a destination you should experience.
